The strong ties to the region can be felt not only in the culinary delights, but also in the ambience. A gourmet restaurant built right on top of a boathouse: with stylish materials, light wood and the rich blue of the Traunsee lake, which can not only be admired when looking through the generous window front, but is also reflected in the furnishings.
In the „Bootshaus“ restaurant you can enjoy the best cuisine of Upper Austria with unobstructed views of the lake. Instead of a regular menu, a fresh basket of first-class regional products awaits you every day in the „Bootshaus“. Chef Lukas Nagl and his team will conjure up unique dishes creating lasting memories.
The „Bootshaus“ kitchen is perfectly complemented by a professional service team. Service management Heike Herkenrath, host Felix Schwaighofer and sommelier Lisa Wimmer work unobtrusively but of course in harmony with the kitchen.

In the 50th anniversary episode of kitchen impossible, we can see how Tim Mälzer and his challenger this time, Haya Molcho, set each other unsolvable cooking tasks.
Haya sends Tim to the Salzkammergut. Lukas Nagl is famous for his fish dishes, and Haya asked Tim to help him. The “black box” awaits him. The dish sounds like a movie hall, but it is a smoked lake trout.
