The restaurant Bootshaus is the gourmet meeting point at the hotel Seehotel Das Traunsee. It is directly located on top of a boathouse and was reimagined in a modern style with authentic materials and elements - and with contemporary art on the walls. It also offers a stunning view of the lake.
During the summer when the weather is nice meals are served outdoors on two beautiful terraces facing the lake.

For award-winning executive chef Lukas Nagl, chef Michael Kaufmann and their team it is a need and a pleasure alike to convince their guests to let go according to the motto "A change in values". In the multi-award-Winning restaurant Bootshaus the focus is on enjoying the product. The guests can look forward to genuine and full flavors and the taste of local ingredients.
According to the motto "A change in values" the change of today's food culture plays an important role as well as the fact that fish, meat and vegetables are equal in value at the restaurant. Most of the ingredients come from carefully chosen local suppliers. LOSLASSEN - to let go - requires faith. Faith in the multi-award-winning cuisine. There is no fixed menu but rather there are meals that constantly evolve with locally sourced and seasonal ingredients. The surrounding meadows, mountain pastures and mountains are a "culinary treasury" for the Bootshaus team.

The wine cellar was expanded, the range of wines was further enlarged and refined. We do not compromise and have the courage to make omissions by offering a small but well assorted wine list. We offer outstanding wines with identity and individuality. The personality of the winegrowers and the wine itself are more important than a famous name or numerous awards. Small, innovative winegrowers focused on their product deserve a chance of getting on stage at the restaurant Bootshaus.
The Austrian wine cellars are full of treasures. Therefore sommelier Christopher Oliveira Malveiro mainly focuses on matured Austrian wines from the 1980s and 1990s. Apart from Austrian wines you can also find selected wines from Germany, Europe and the world in the well-assorted wine list.
