Excursion tips around the Lacus Felix
Whether sun or snow - Traunkirchen is the ideal starting point for excursions to Hallstatt, Bad Ischl or the historic centre of Gmunden. Salzburg is also only an hour's drive away and well worth a visit, especially during the festival season. Thanks to the nearby "Traunkirchen Ort" train stop, many destinations can be reached easily and comfortably without a car.
